SIT Queenstown

Southern Institute of Technology (1971) is an innovative and forward-thinking institute of technology offering cutting-edge qualifications. It is famous for its unique Zero Fees Scheme, which ultimately enables its students both locals and foreigners (mainly students from Australia) to study approved programs with no tuition fee and thus, save a fortune on education. The Scheme funds also allow SIT to keep the fees low for the international students. SIT holds quality assured status from the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA).

SIT’s expanding Queenstown Campus (established 2009) is conveniently located in the Remarkables Park Town Centre at Frankton, with the spectacular backdrop of the Remarkables mountain range.  Its modern facilities provide an exceptional teaching environment; new purpose-built spaces, plenty of natural light, magnificent views, ample parking, and easily accessible by public transport.

The university is supplied with several leading technology equipment, facilities and programs, which lets the students gain practical experience. SIT`s administration encourages its faculty and students to enrol into SIT Research Institute and eventually provides an opportunity to publish the research outcomes in the SIT Journal of Applied Research.
